Female football starts next week! Are you keen?

The Under 17 girls came agonisingly close to winning the flag this year after making it through to the preliminary final that will now be not played due to current COVID restrictions. But it’s unfinished business and the coaches are keen to gauge interest for all grades Under 14, Under 17 and Opens for season 2022.

“After a great year of football this year, the club’s coaches are keen to build on our success of our Open women’s team the Under 14s and Under 17s teams making the finals and to gauge interest for the 2022 season,” senior Open Women’s Coach Jim Gillies said.

“If you are thinking about playing please come down to a short, light and fun training session at the Grove (JC Lowe) Oval at 6.00pm next Wednesday night 22nd of September for just a one hour training session.

“We are looking forward to seeing you down there and can answer any questions about next season,” Jim Gillies said.

The Under 17 girls AFLW North East and Border premiership campaign was officially called off last week but next week the Yarrawonga Football Netball Club will begin recruiting for season 2022.
