Yarrawonga Chronicle

Back in the swing of martial arts

There was a bit of different activity on the lawns of the park adjacent to the weir wall on Saturday with students from the dojo martial arts centre completed both a virtual and faceto-face grading.

The club would like to congratulate the two grading groups.

1 - The inaugural virtual grading group. You performed well and are an example of resilience and adaptation.

2 - The outdoor grading group. Well done on your ability to pivot quickly and move to a face-to-face grading. Everyone is so proud!

Special mention to Jacob Hallili who tested for Junior Blackbelt.

Jacob submitted his written application, completed his practical test and also completed his written test. A tribute to your resilience throughout all of these recent challenges.

Additionally, three distinction winners who performed exceptionally well: Hamish Neil, Jacob Halili, Charlie Skipper.

Thanks to the grading examiners Sempai Ricardo and Jamie; to the parents, grandparents and carers who contribute to the club and the countless supporters across regional VIC and NSW.

Classes will remain virtual next week with the intention to get back into dojos across Yarrawonga, Cobram and Rutherglen in term four.

Find the dojo martial arts on socials or contact thedojoau@gmail.com to get involved in term four.
