Kathryn takes part in Fairley

The Fairley Leadership Program is Goulburn Murray Community Leadership’s flagship program which takes members on an immersive learning experience.

The Fairley Leadership Program continues to develop and inspire individuals to mobilise into action, providing them the tools to play a key role in positive change in the Goulburn Murray region.

Current Fairley participant and Yarrawonga resident, Kathryn Maddox states: “The opportunity to learn from other Fairley Leadership Program participants and come together to undertake each program day has created strong connections within the participant group and provided additional insights into our region from a peer perspective.”

Leaders are everywhere and sometimes they just need a vehicle to help them mobilise - Fairley enables you to do that.

The 11-month program offers a mix of learning environments, including face-to-face, online and intensives – where participants gain invaluable access to successful community leaders, key decision and policy makers, and change makers.

You don’t have to have the title of a manager or be in an existing leadership role to apply. You just need to bring your passion!

Now more than ever, communities are looking for adaptive and responsive leaders that will empower them to discover and implement solutions to mitigate and navigate the impacts of an ever-changing operating environment.

The experiential learning model will introduce participants to leadership skills through exposure to business and community leaders, guidance, and support from the GMCL Management team and other participants, panel discussions and community project development.

GMCL Executive Officer Nathan Bibby said: “With the ever-changing landscape, we need to continue developing and supporting community leaders to inspire a positive mind-set and create change in the communities where they live. I encourage anyone with a passion to lead to apply.”
