Vaccines start for 5 to 11-year-olds

“We welcomed our first group of Pfizer kids last week,” Lyndy Ronan from the Yarrawonga Medical Clinic said.

“And what a fantastic group they were!” Bookings are now available through local GPs and pharmacies.

By vaccinating your children, you can:

• Reduce the spread of COVID-19

• Protect them from getting sick from COVID-19

• Keep schools open, so children can have more face-to-face learning and playtime with their friends.

The recommended interval for vaccination in this age group is two doses, 8 weeks apart.

The paediatric Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine reduces COVID-19 risks for children and has the additional benefit of reducing risks of transmission to older contacts.

For more information and to book your children’s first dose – visit www.coronavirus. vic.gov.au/vaccine. Or, you can call the Yarrawonga Medical Clinic on 5744 3115.

Local children aged 5 to 11 have started to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
