Yarrawonga Chronicle

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

route supported by both Moira Shire and Federation Council and the vast community opinion.

Thanks to John Lawless, Rob Purtle and Noel Wright for spearheading the local campaign.

The job ahead is now the location of access roads, number of lanes and the construction timing.

Our sincere thanks to all who have supported, in any way, YMTB over the last exceedingly difficult years.

Last year January to November YMTB had: 67,156 walk-in visitors to the centre. 27,899 emails

27,485 phone enquiries

Note: December 21 figures will be available shortly but are much higher than 2020.

These were serviced by our front-line team led by Noel, Helen, Tegan and supported by part timers and volunteers. This workload supports the work and front-line value of direct relations with the public via your visitor information centre.

YMTB will continue to work to attract and keep worthwhile events, e.g., Rod Run, E. C.

Griffiths Cup, and other feature events. We need more of these.

This takes money – your support provides the background finance - but specific sponsorship is required and sort for the future.

I would like to thank our board, employees, volunteers, members, Moira Shire, Federation Council, Yarrawonga Holiday Park Committee, Local Clubs, and financial supporters for their commitment to YMTB.

Doug Evans OAM JP Chairman YMTB Board
