$250 rebate for concession card holders

Eligible concession card holders across the Ovens Valley are being encouraged by Nationals Member for Ovens Valley Tim McCurdy to apply for the Victorian Government’s $250 one-off rebate payment.

“The Victorian Governments $250 one-off rebate payment catered for various concession card holders has been hidden from and not promoted at all to eligible residents,” Mr McCurdy said.

“It is important that those who are eligible are made aware and receive their power saving bonus.

“The program is open now and is available until January 31 and I encourage everyone who holds an eligible concession card to apply.

“It only takes about five minutes to apply, but if you have any difficulty, call our office for assistance,” Mr McCurdy said.

To be eligible for the payment you must be a Victorian residential energy customer and receive one of the following concession benefits:

• Centrelink Pension Concession Card;

• Jobseeker, Youth Allowance, Abstudy, Austudy;

• Department of Veterans Affairs Pensioners Concession Card; or

• Department of Veterans Affairs Gold Card. “Be sure to apply before January 31, our office can help by phoning 5721 6155,” he said.
