Murray League 2022 fixture released

The 2022 Eagle I T-L Irrigation Murray Football Netball League fixture has been released with round one to commence on April 2.

Mulwala will kick the season off at home against Nathalia with the home and away season to be conducted over a period of 21 weeks.

Five matches are to be played on Good Friday with Mulwala again at home to Congupna and only one match across the board to be played on the Saturday.

A general bye has been scheduled for July 3 whilst the draw has two split rounds in round 7 and round 16. These weeks add flexibility to the fixture should problems arise because of Covid.

The focus of the fixture is to maximise crowds and to take advantage of an influx of tourists along the river over Easter and the Queen’s Birthday weekend.

The season concludes with the Grand Final on September 17.
