2021/22 Junior Lakers presentation evening

An excited contingent of Yarrawonga Mulwala Cricket Club Junior Lakers players and their parents filled the Endeavour Room at ClubMulwala for the annual presentation evening.

Congratulations to Kade Sullivan who took a hat trick against Rutherglen United Cricket Club on the February 19.

2021/22 Godfathers Junior Champion

The prestigious Godfathers Award was the last trophy to be presented. The award recognises the outstanding achievement of one player from across all junior grades and is calculated on how many runs and wickets are accumulated throughout the home and away season.

Graham Wilson from the Yarrawonga Godfathers, was once again in attendance to present the award.

Congratulations to Nate Leith from the Under 12s who won The Godfathers Trophy. Nate also won the award last year and is to be highly commended for his magnificent season with bat and ball.

Thank you to ClubMulwala for providing an excellent venue for the event.

Thanks also to all the junior match day incentive award sponsors: Crusty Loaf Bakery, Yarrawonga Fish and Chips, Wingates, Avalanche Ice Creamery, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort, Yarrawonga Skin, Ski, and Surf, OneZach and the Yarrawonga Godfathers for their ongoing support. Thank you to the coaches, who give up countless hours to help develop players skills both on and off the field.

Thank you to the YMCC Committee for their support towards the junior program and to Matt McCabe and Justin O’Brien (head groundskeepers) for their tireless work in preparing the Stan Hargreaves and Lonsdale Reserve grounds and pitches.

And finally, a big thank you to the parents who drive the players all over the north-east to play the great game of cricket and for keeping the whites, white.

Well done to all award winners from the 2021/22 season. Good luck to all top age Under 16s who now transition into full time Saturday afternoon senior cricket.

All the best for season 2022/23.
