YMBA Presentation night a success

Yarrawonga Mulwala Basketball Representative Club ( the Lakers) recently held their 2021/ 22 Presentation Night at ClubMulwala.

It was fabulous to hold this night to celebrate the season where teams were able to play a full calendar of tournaments and attend Junior Country Championships.

The night was a great success with a full house in attendance to acknowledge the achievements of all players and to say thank you to the many volunteers that work tirelessly to ensure the representative program continues.

This includes the committee members and band of coaches who give up their time through the week and weekends away to help players improve and grow.

The club would also like to give a special mention to sponsors - Gold Sponsors: Yarrawonga Manufactured Housing and ClubMulwala (RSL).

Silver Sponsors: Criterion Hotel Yarrawonga, Burkes Hotel Motel, Yarrawonga Denis Medical Group and Bronze Sponsors: Sweet and Sour Sisters, STF Engineering Pty Ltd, Ski Bundalong, Scott Freeman Bobcat Hire, CRT, Wheaton Chiropractic Yarrawonga, Yarrawonga Chronicle, MYC Mulwala Yarrawonga Cleaning and Mulwala Water Ski Club.

Awards were announced for MVP, R/U MVP and Coaches Awards for each age group.

In addition to these awards Nici Freeman was awarded Senior Club person of the Year, with Lochie Harvey Junior Club person of the year.

Eight of the Under 18 top age players say farewell to their representative basketball journey and the club thank them for their contribution to the club; Chloe Wheaton, Eliana Martin, Georgie Hemphill, Hunter Frauenfelder, Ethan Lay, Dom McInness, Marcus VanMannen and Callum deOleveira.

Overall, it was a wonderful night and the club look forward to doing it all again when try-outs begin in a couple of months.
