YMGCR Mens Nine Holers

Tuesdays Pot Round was again tightly contested with 68 thirsty players trying to win the monthly prize and it was Peter Tudor's amazing 26 comprised of 2 birdies, 4 pars and an eagle on the 7th who blitzed the Blue to take the win.

He finished 4 strokes ahead of Graeme Eberle (30) with the ever-consistent Denis Beale (31) and Bill Hidson (32) closing in fast behind them.

Following close was a 5-way countback headed by Ray Scott (33), Allan Foord, Ray Murray, Terry Duffy and Graham Milner.

On the Red Ross Watson (36) edged the trio of Bill Wyatt, Corny Boers and Ian Pritchard (37) with Ian Jones (38) heading the trio of John Groves, Peter Dowie and Brendan O'Farrell on 39, with ball prizes going to 40 on countback.

Thursday's deluge saw a limited game for those brave enough to attend and Charlie Hope had a day out on the Blue with 23 points, with a birdie and 6 pars to take the win with an unlucky Ray Pritchard missing out in second place with an excellent 22 points with Dave Holdsworth edging Digger Dunne on a countback with 20 points.

Following close behind was a four-way countback led by local legend Terry Strickland with Ray Minette, Ken Dyer and Geoff Burgess all on a highly respectable 18, with ball prizes going down to 17.
