The scribe has said it before and they'll say it again, sometimes two's football is like being the ultimate wingman.

There is nothing pretty about it, you don't really want to do it. But you just have to get in, get the job done, put the notch on the bed head and move on.

Well done to the Tungamah boys on a fantastic home and away season. They now look forward to the business end of the season.

Thirds

Tungamah 30.28.206 defeated Yarroweyah 0.0.0.

The Bears finished the home and away season strongly. In heavy and slippery conditions the boys were able to handle the ball well.

The Hoppers were keen and never gave in all day which was great to see. The coaches moved the side around to ensure everyone got plenty of game time with 4 players resting up before finals.

Jayden Arnold must have brought his own footy cause he had possession of it all day. Geoff Montgomery had another cracking game with a heap of touches and 5 goals to his name.

Beau Cummins dominated in the ruck again giving Tungamah first use of the ball allowing the Bears to score freely as Lach Phillips added another 11 goals to his tally.

Jackson Purtell was hard at it as usual, and Ollie Connell was in and under and scored 2 goals himself. Jack Costigan was sneaking around the goal square and snuck through 4 cheeky goals.

A great team win with the Bears building nicely for a strong finals campaign. Thanks to all the volunteers throughout the season, without their assistance the games wouldn't go ahead.

To the award providers thank you. Your generosity is much appreciated by all at the club.

Fourths

Tungamah 16.12.108 defeated Yarroweyah 0.1.1.

On a wet, muddy ground, Tungamah hosted Yarroweyah. Given the conditions, the skills were right up there all game. From the first bounce, they were switched on, kicking 6 in the first quarter.

The onballers were damaging all day, led by Ealesy and the backs, led by Kade, rarely had the footy get past them.

The delivery into the forward line was second to none and gave Jake every chance to finish it off. Another great team effort, which has topped off a great year for the 4ths, but now the focus is on Strathmerton.

Goals: J Walker 14 and L Eales 2.

Awards: J. Walker - Sock award, L. Eales - Crusty Loaf, J Houston - Yarrawonga Fish n Chips, C. Wilson - Siti award, S. Bainikoro - Tungamah Store, A. Doyle - Thirsty Lures.

Fifths

Tungamah 8.4.52 defeated Yarroweyah 3.2.20.

In cold wet conditions the Bears came out to play.

With a few of the Hoppers watching from the windscreen of the cars, the Bear squad topped up their numbers to make a great game of it.

It was wet weather footy at its best, and after the mud slides at training the Bears were not afraid to get in and dirty.

Going into the second the Bears had a handy 3 goal lead, Paddy D had his best game of the year with the ball on a string and celebrating hard after he kicked a point.

Noah L had another cracker loving the hard tough footy and bagging himself a couple while hitting Tyler B lace out to goal before the end of the second.

In the last with a handy lead Isaac went for a run and bounce through the middle hitting Aaron P to goal. Cooper was in and under feeding it out to Ty who moved the ball nicely through the wings.

Lucas P had strong hands and showed plenty repelling the Hoppers attack. Goal sneak Rhiannon after showing up the boys at training continued her good form while Tague took a few big grabs to lead the Bears to a handy win to finish the season.

Awards: Paddy, Noah, Isaac, Cooper, Ty, Lucas, Rhiannan and Tague.
